Mar. 29th, 2015 - Hike Echo Canyon Trail

The Echo Canyon trail is located at the lower end of No Thoroughfare Canyon near the east entrance to Colorado National Monument. The trail leads into a small box canyon that can produce a reverberating echo.  During moist times in the spring, tiny canyon tree frogs are frequently seen.

This 3.3 mile hike is described as moderate. There is a several minute steep ascent on slickrock and then a bit of rock scrambling before reaching the canyon terminus.

No dogs are allowed on trails in the monument. Bring a walking stick if you use one, a light lunch and plenty of water.

Comedian and TV host Bill Maher takes a pilgrimage across the globe on a mind-opening journey into the ultimate taboo: questioning religion. Meeting the high and low from different religions, Maher simply asks questions, like "Why is faith good?" "Why doesn't an all-powerful God speak to us directly?" and "How can otherwise rational people believe in a talking snake?" For anyone who's even a little spiritually curious, this divine entertainment will deepen your faith...in comedy! We'll use any remaining time after the documentary for discussion. Please feel welcome to bring any food and drink you may want.

The film is rated R and this showing is not open to the general public.
